There is a crucial
need for Realtors® who specialize in and understand affordable housing
- and it is a market that is growing everyday. The Realtors® Association
of the Palm Beaches has developed the following resources to help Realtors®
serve the affordable housing market:.
Who
are Affordable Housing Consumers?
The words “Affordable Housing” conjures up all kinds of stereotypes.
But, truth be known, affordable housing is needed for all ages, races,
backgrounds, professions and economic levels. Affordable housing consumers
can be school teachers, waiters, police, firemen or even young professionals
fresh out of college. They are single parents seeking a reputable school
district, grandparents taking care of their grandchildren, divorcee or
a young couple wanting their first home. There isn’t any typical
profile of affordable housing consumer – they are just people who
want to achieve the American Dream of homeownership.

Home From Work Campaign - An Employer Housing
Benefit Training
This program not only gives real estate professionals the tools to assist
families searching for housing, but positions them as the resource for
real estate and housing to Palm Beach County’s top employers. After
completing the Home From Work Campaign training program, Realtors®
can become exclusive partners with employers providing services such as:
Home-Buying Workshops, In-Depth Housing Counseling, and Financial Benefit
Programs. It gives Realtors® unprecedented access to a valuable group
of potential clients — allowing them to help families while growing
their businesses.
